Just Wait [DarylxReader] Ch. 3
What time was it?
Your body didn't so much as twitch as the question flared up in your mind, as it had countless times before. Your stiff muscles hardly allowed any movement without a great deal of will behind it, the factor of which you were strongly lacking in. Time. Time had all but become the heat filtering through the rafters in relentless waves. Time had become all but the sharp sting of dirt in your cuts and dull pain from your bruises. Time had become all but torture worse than any being could ever inflict. Day and night were communicated only by the cycle of unbearably hot to icicle cold. And sometimes you would miss it due to the f

A King's Amusement - Loki x Reader {Chapter 1}
It was an eventful day when you were brought to the king. Usually, nothing was heard from the large, looming palace that now took over most of New York.
It was quiet, all around the world, really, now that it had changed so dramatically. Everyone had thought that Loki wouldn’t succeed, you know, the whole good always prevails, thing.
But not this time, despite every last effort that SHIELD had put forth, had failed to come through. Even the Avengers, that seemingly hastily put together initiative that everyone had fallen in love with the second they appeared to help try and save the world.
The endless forces of aliens that streamed t

Spock/Reader 'Sorry' Part 2
The next day Spock, with much encouragement from Jim, made the decision to ask you to lunch. He walked one-point-five times faster than his usual pace to arrive at Med Bay before you’d leave.
Dr. McCoy was leaving for his lunch when Spock reached Med Bay. Spock had no reason to speak to the doctor now, but it seemed the doctor was going to speak with him.
“What’re you doin’ here?” McCoy asked.
“I have come to ask Nurse (l/n) to accompany me to lunch.”
“Oh,” McCoy sounded, surprised, “well, good luck.”
Spock decided it was best not to argue wit

Chapter 1: First Meeting
Diaval knew he ventured too far into the village, but the succulent smell of fresh corn drew him to the farm. He didn't see anyone or anything in the far corner of the cornfield and picking at some corn really quick shouldn't cause any harm. Or so he thought. Not long after he landed on the corn stalk and started to pick at the corn when all of a sudden he was enveloped by a large net.
In one moment he was trapped under a net with nasty dogs drooling and barking

Richard III: Reflection
It never surprises me when my sympathies lean towards the villain rather than the hero in any play or novel that I read. However, there is something that stands out about Richard that makes him much more than "the bad guy". I admire Richard because of his intelligence, lack of remorse, and deformities.
Richard is by far the most intelligent character in the play, and even if he was compared to other literary figures, he still ranks high above most. The average villain uses force to achieve power; Richard uses words. Richard's wooing of Lady Anne is the most romantic and evocative dialogue I have ever read, and I consider it superior

I have to write this down.
I really cannot keep it in, but I have no one I can turn to about this.
If this journal is found, I’m as good as dead, but I need to get it out of me, even if I end up burning it. I just don’t know what to do – I had a bad day today and I just can’t share this with anyone. Not my mum, not my brother, not even my best friend. I’d even be wary of telling my cat! I’ve just had to for

Picard didn’t let his jaw clench. A Captain didn’t show any outward signs of perturbment. He’d keep his voice level and stay calm no matter how stressful the circumstances.
“Number One, can you please explain exactly what has happened do Mr. Data?”
“Yes Sir. After retrieving Lore, we thought it was prudent to check the lab for any other surprises when we passed by the planet on our way back from Vagra II. Data found this unit. Unlike Lore it had no preset program. An empty shell, if you will.”
“Go on.”

A small talk about pricing your art
You're creating art. You have the passion, you have the skills. Why not make some money out of it then? It's a good idea, right? A lot of people live from creating art, and even more earn some money on the side by taking commissions. You should give it a shot!
So... How much money is your art worth?
It's a hard question to answer for those who are just starting their adventure with selling and creating art for money. Is its worth equal to the price of the materials you used? Is it equal to the value of the time you've spent on creating it? What about the emotional value you put into it? Should your education influence your prices?
